CFP Chiasmi International Volume 17

Call for Papers
Chiasmi International, a Trilingual Journal Concerning the Thought of Merleau-Ponty, is seeking submissions for Volume 17. The content of this volume will be focused on the theme of Paul Ricoeur’s work in relation to Merleau-Ponty. Possible themes include, but are not limited to:

  • Phenomenology
  • Alterity
  •  Psychoanalysis
  • Nature
  • Institution
  • Temporality
  • Language and interpretation
  • History of philosophy

Submissions in English, French, and Italian are encouraged and articles submitted must be original, with no simultaneous submission to other periodicals. Submissions are subject to peer-review and, if accepted, authors may be required to make revisions, based on feedback from the reviewers.

Articles of no more than 8000 words, including notes and bibliography, should be prepared for blind review and include a cover page with the following information: Author’s name, title, and professional affiliation; Author’s contact details with email; Title of submission; Word count including endnotes; Brief 4 – 5 sentence biographical description. Chiasmi International is a peer-reviewed trilingual journal that publishes essays on or inspired by the thought of the French philosopher Maurice Merleau-Ponty. Since 1999 this journal has published an important collection of original work on Merleau-Ponty that is truly international in scope. Each volume contains articles in English, French, or Italian, and the Editors welcome submissions in these languages. The content of each volume is focused on a particular theme or subject, adding further breadth to the collection.
