Kent State University

We are a pluralistic department with a terminal MA program, with three faculty who work in the Continental tradition. Although this represents only around 1/3 of our full-time faculty, we have an excellent track record over the years of placing Continentally-oriented MA students into funded PhD spots in schools such as Duquesne, Villanova, Purdue, Emory, Kentucky, USF, Ottawa, and Texas A&M. Our faculty members who work in analytic, pragmatist, and world philosophy are committed to the mission of our program; they support and work with our Continental students, adding a unique pluralistic dimension to their education.
