Daseinsanalytic Psychotherapy stands at a threshold: rooted in existential phenomenology, it offers a rich therapeutic approach grounded in the lived experience of the person. Yet its role in scientific and interdisciplinary discourse remains limited.
This international conference invites clinicians, researchers, and scholars to reflect critically on the place of Daseinsanalysis in contemporary psychotherapy and science. How can this approach remain faithful to its ontological foundations while actively contributing to evidence, dialogue, and cultural relevance?
We welcome contributions addressing the following themes:
1. Openness to Science: Dialogues with medical, psychological, and philosophical sciences; methodological innovations; training and research literacy.
2. Critique and Differentiation: Critical engagement with reductionist models in psychiatry and psychotherapy; positioning Daseinsanalysis within the broader therapeutic field.
3. Scientific and Cultural Responsibility: Effectiveness, ethics, and contribution to public discourse on mental health and human understanding.
4. Connectedness and Contemporary Relevance: Daseinsanalytic perspectives on existential phenomena in times of ecological, digital, and social crisis.
Presentation Formats:
– Individual Paper (25 min + 10 min discussion)
– Shared Thinking Session (10 min input + 40 min dialogue)
– Workshop (up to 50 min, experiential or applied)
