CFP: Emory Undergraduate Journal of Society, Politics, and Ethics

The new, peer-reviewed Emory Undergraduate Journal of Society, Politics, and Ethics is publishing our second inaugural issue this Spring 2021. We accept philosophical and theoretical work on our three subject areas, broadly construed, from undergraduate students of various academic backgrounds both in and outside of our home institution, Emory University.

All submissions will be subject to blind peer review. We are especially interested in work that is creatively relevant to current sociopolitical concerns and pushes the boundaries of the disciplines in which the work is located. We encourage work that speaks to issues of community, identity, and/or justice, and we welcome work using a range of schools of thought, including but not limited to critical race theory, feminist theory, queer theory, post-colonial theory, or all or none of these.

Academic papers should be at least 5 pages without identifying information, accompanied by a short, 150-250-word abstract. Please name the document YourLastName.doc with the subject line “Submission.”

Book reviews should be under 1000 words. Please title your document YourLastName_BookReview with the subject line “Submission – Book Review”

Reflections should be under 1500 words. Please title your document YourLastName_Reflection with the subject line “Submission – Reflection. “

Submissions should be received by March 31st, 2021 at https://forms.gle/QpdZX8QBme7Sz1o38. Any questions can also be directed to our email: emoryjournalofspe@gmail.com.
