Conference: 2023 Phenomenology Symposium on the work of Prof. John D. Caputo

The Simon Silverman Phenomenology Center invites you to participate in our 2023 Phenomenology Symposium on the work of Prof. John D. Caputo on April 13 and 14, 2023.

Over the past several decades, Prof. Caputo has pursued one of the most interesting projects of continental philosophy of religion in the field. His phenomenological theology engages both the methods and the luminaries of the phenomenological tradition in novel and insightful ways to wrestle with issues of faith, reason, ethics, meaning, and God. Our 2023 Symposium, coinciding with the dedication of the John D. Caputo Archive at the Simon Silverman Phenomenology Center, seeks to contemplate with Prof. Caputo his past intellectual achievements, the nature of his current and ongoing investigations, and the future generative potential of his work.

You can attend either in-person or online, and you can register here: https://www.duq.edu/calendar.php#event-details/f7120279-bcb3-499a-9b81-7664e466f287 .

Attendance at the seminar is free of charge. Please contact us at phenomenology@duq.edu with any questions, and please feel free to circulate this invitation to anyone whom you think might be interested.
