The University of Texas at Dallas Philosophy Program offers a two-year Master of Arts in Philosophy that provides grounding in the history of philosophy. Faculty share a commitment to engaging with the history of philosophy, even as faculty research and expertise spans Continental and Analytic traditions and includes areas such as Hermeneutics, Phenomenology, Deconstruction, Aesthetics, Philosophy of Science and Medicine, Philosophy of Psychiatry, Ethics and Moral Psychology, Social and Political Philosophy, Philosophy of Race, Philosophy of Gender and Feminism, Chinese Philosophy, and Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Philosophy. We offer partial funding in the form of TA-ships for MA students on a competitive basis. Students may continue studying philosophy at the doctoral level at UTD through the interdisciplinary PhD in Humanities.
