The philosophy journal *Eksistenz* is now inviting submissions for a special section in its 2026 issue titled “Hermeneutical Phenomenology and the Future of Art: Method, Technology and Embodiment”.
Hermeneutical Phenomenology is a formulation by early Heidegger, originally intended to understand human existence (Dasein) as beings living in a meaningful world, and to let such existence manifest in a phenomenological way. Here we borrow and expand this term, in order to inquire, in current digital age, how this classical discipline—one concerned with the constitution and manifestation of meaning—can contribute to the understanding of art and open up new prospects for the future of art.
