HUMAN RIGHTS: FOUNDING MYTHS AND HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVES (Inernational Conference)

This International Conference is intended to encourage the discussion of ideas at the Legal Theory and History, Research Centre of the University of Lisbon, associating the latest studies on Human Rights to the Legal Theory and History through a complete, plural and multi-faceted approach. The general thematic framework of discussion includes the History of Political Ideas, Legal History and Legal Theory, regarding timeless general and operative concepts, with an emphasis on modern and comtemporary historical periods.

OBJECTIVES
*Promote the scientific research in the areas of Legal Theory and History and History of Political Ideas;
*Encourage the debate of ideas among prestigious researchers and academics and also early career researchers;
*Develop competencies regarding the critical evaluation, presentation and disclosure of scientific output;
*Strengthen contacts between members of the national and international scientific communities.
