CFP: 2016 Australasian Society for Continental Philosophy Conference

The 2016 conference of the Australasian Society for Continental Philosophy will take place on December 7-9 at Deakin University’s Burwood Campus (Melbourne, Australia). The ASCP aims to provide a broad intellectual forum for academics and postgraduates working in the European philosophical tradition. Its annual conference is the largest event devoted to European philosophy in Australasia.

The deadline for the submission of abstracts is August 31. Notifications of acceptance onto the program will be sent out in mid-September.

The conference will feature a number of curated streams, including ‘Philosophies of Self-Formation’, ‘Continental Philosophy and Other Traditions’, ‘Phenomenologies of Oppression’, ‘Law and Philosophy’, ‘Philosophy and Creative Practice’ and ‘Politics and Technology’.

The keynote speakers are Penelope Deutscher (Northwestern), John Lippitt (Hertfordshire), Anne Sauvagnargues (Paris Ouest) and John Sellars (King’s College London).
