CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR NEW EDITOR(S) OF philoSOPHIA

Nominations (including self-nominations) are sought for a new editor or co-editors of philoSOPHIA: A Journal of Continental Feminism, published by SUNY Press. The journal currently publishes two issues a year. The new editor(s) will assume editorial responsibilities starting June 2018. Appointment of the new editor(s) will be made by the Advisory Board in consultation with the current co-editors, and will be announced by the end of November 2017. The current editors will liaison with the new editor(s) during the Spring of 2018 to co-ordinate the transition process.

We especially encourage teams of two to apply. Team members need not be affiliated with the same institution.

Those interested should submit:
1) a CV (or CVs)
2) a statement of approximately 500 words that describes the vision you have for the journal, including:
–what (new) directions or goals for the journal you would like to pursue
–how you foresee sharing editorial responsibility (if you are submitting with a co-editor)
–any added strengths or experience you bring (e.g., web development; previous
editorial experience)
–any institutional support you might receive from your home university (e.g., course
release, graduate assistant)

Our current Book Review Editor, Emanuela Bianchi, will continue in her position.

The deadline for nominations is: September 15, 2017
