Job description: Full time one year fixed teaching contract to cover a range of Philosophy modules at different levels. This is to replace a member of staff on research leave and to address growth in student numbers.
The successful applicant should be able to teach at least two of the following:
1. Introduction to Philosophy (Level 1)
2. Ethics (Level 2)
3. 19th Century German Philosophy (Level 2)
4. Contemporary French Philosophy (MA)
There may also be a requirement to take seminars in Metaphysics (Level 2)
Please note that introduction to philosophy requires the teaching of critical thinking and basic logic (propositional calculus). The other modules are flexible in terms of content. Modules are structured as a 1-hour lecture and a number of seminars.
